January 5, 2010 by Russell

WordPress Fixes CURL Bug in WordPress 2.9.1

Power Blog Service clients are all now running on WordPress 2.9.1 only a few hours after the release.

The WordPress 2.9.1 release fixed a number of bugs in WordPress 2.9, the most of important of which was an issue with CURL which had a number of undesirable side effects:

  • scheduled posts are not processed correctly;
  • some pingbacks are not processed correctly;
  • and critically, third party plugins that integrate with shopping carts did not work correctly

No database upgrades were required for this release.
