My Web Designer has gone Absent Without Leave

November 5, 2009 by Russell

Don’t You Just Hate Not Being In Control?

It happens a lot. You get your web designer to build you your website and eventually all is well: you have your site, and it is doing its job, bringing you some business. And then things naturally change over time, you add a new product or service, you change you pricing, and you need to have your website updated to reflect these changes.

Getting Your Website Updated Isn’t Always Easy

You then email your web designer with the changes you require but get no response after a couple of days so you decide to call. No reply. You leave a message. A couple of days later you call again. Again no reply. Maybe he is on vacation so you decide to wait until the following Monday.

The next Monday you call again and this time you get an answer. He has just come back from vacation. However, he now has a permanent job so won’t have time to work on your site. He suggests you trying getting somebody in e-lance to help. He says he will email you your FTP login and password. These do not arrive so you email him a couple of days later to remind him and you get the details back the following day.

Three weeks have passed and you are no closer to getting your website updated. There must be an better way!

There is.

With WordPress You Are Fully In Control

With a site created using WordPress you have the ability to update all the textual and graphical content on your web site yourself. You will not be in a position of having a product launch held up waiting by your web developer.
