Seven Ways We Make it Easy To Run a Self-Hosted Wordpress Blog

By choosing to run a free blog at wordpress.com you’re essentially giving up control of that blog to a third party. This won’t matter for many blogs, but if the blog in question is your main business blog, wordpress.com isn’t the place for it.

Self hosting your own blog gives you back that control, but what if you don’t have the time nor the technical expertise to excerise that control? What then?

Wordpress.com versus Wordpress.org?

I’m sure you know the difference, but there are two types of Wordpress blog. There’s the one you can get for free at wordpress.com – no hosting charges, just choose your blog name and get started, or there’s the one you get from wordpress.org. You have to download software, configure it and host it yourself. Plus you have to deal with any technical problems that arise, as they will from time to time.

Zero Click Upgrade for Wordpress

Power Blog Service clients are all now running on Wordpress 2.8.2.

This Wordpress release fixes an cross site scripting (XSS) vulnerability when people comment on your blog.

No database upgrades were required for this release.
